3M AP3 water filter head water filter head for HF10 cartridges

This head, complete with mounting bracket, has inlet and outlet ports so that you can connect it in-line upstream of your kitchen tap in your motorhome, caravan or boat. Accepts 3M's high performance HF10 cartridge for filtering down to 0.2 microns.

The filter cartridge plugs into the head which has a self-sealing valve so that there is no leakage when the cartridge is removed.

Note that the pipe ports on the head differ from those shown in the photo: instead of the nut for a screw fitting, the head has plain 3/8 inch push-fit sockets.

You also need a blank 'sanitising plug' - a blanking plug which is fitted in place of a cartridge and opens the valve to allow water to flow through to the taps when you want to disinfect your system. This is because disinfectant solutions would damage the filter cartridge if it was left in place. Once the system has been flushed with clean water the cartridge can be re-installed.
