Unscrew the fastening screw of the lock (Fig. 3), screw in the cylinder head screw supplied in its place (Fig. 4). In the area of ??the lock press the rubber seal over the large area under the plastic cover (Fig. 5).
Press the lock on the frame against the rubber seal and position it (open position) so that the lever of the handle rests on the red spacer strip of the bolt and the cylinder head of the newly screwed screw slides into the lower opening without touching the sides and fork of the bolt (Fig 6a, 6b). If necessary, adjust screw.
For the legs of the lock, mark the plastic cover of the vehicle pillar (Fig. 7a; 7b) and drill with 12 mm or only drill a semicircle (Fig. 8). Position the lock by hand, hold it, slowly close the sliding door. Check function by pushing the handle forward. If all is correct, open the sliding door, mark the holes for fastening the lock on the spar of the B-pillar (Fig. 9a, Fig. 9 b), drill with 3.2 mm (Fig. 10) and lock with the supplied self-tapping screws. (Grease the screws) (Fig. 11a, 11b).
Check function again. Additionally secure the lock with two screws in the plastic cover. Best pre-drill with 2mm. (Fig. 12a, 12b).
Adjust the cylinder head bolt so that there is a gap of approx. 2 mm between the fork of the bolt and the underside of the bolt head (Fig. 13). Then hold on screw and tighten counter nut. (Picture 14)
If there is a insect protection door frame on the B-pillar, if possible, install the lock on this strip or cut out the contour of the lock from the strip.
First check the viability of the installation before starting work.
