ORDERING - info & conditions Prices The product prices shown are the price you will pay. As part of our OUR DOWNSIZE, from 1/10/2017 we have cancelled our UK VAT registration and therefore we are no longer required to collect VAT as part of our prices. Our invoices will no longer show VAT. For more information see About our downsizing How to pay by credit or debit card on our secure system After you have filled your shopping basket, go to checkout where you will be passed to our secure payment gateway. Your payments are processed through the secure servers at Sage Pay which is approved as compliant with payment card industry security standards. How to pay by cheque Please place your order by telephone if you wish to pay by cheque. You might want to place your items in your shopping basket, then call us when you are ready to order. Payment terms, refunds and returns Full payment will be taken when an order is placed and therefore before the goods are shipped. The customer will have the right to a full refund for goods that do not meet expectations or requirements provided that they notify us within a 'cooling off' period of 14 days and provided that the goods are returned undamaged and with all original packaging which must be unmarked. Where there are unavoidable exceptions to this because of the nature off the product, this will be stated in the product description. Return delivery costs must be met by the customer and this cost and our original delivery charge are not refundable unless the reason for the return is attributable solely to shortcomings in the way in which we have carried out your order. Please note that in the case of payments made by credit or debit card, refunds can be made only to the same card from which the payment was taken. If we receive payment by cheque then any refund will also be made by cheque, made out to the name of the account holder on the original cheque. Our guiding principle for our returns policies will be that they should be fair to both customer and to ourselves and we will aim always to provide the customer with the best possible service and satisfaction. Delivery period Depending on the time of day when we receive an order, our aim is that typically items in stock will be despatched the same day or the next day, either by first class post or by next-working-day carrier service. This is not always possible but our minimum standard is that we will despatch orders to you within three to five working days. If - unusually - we can't despatch within five working days we will inform you by email so that you may cancel your order if you wish. Information about the current stock availability of each product is displayed in the detail page of every product. Delivery charge DELIVERY charge of £5.95 per order will be added. We use premium postal or carrier services. The charge is added during the checkout process. These delivery charge arrangements apply only for mainland UK addresses (but please note that for some orders for delivery to northern areas of Scotland there may be an additional charge; also for the Isle of Wight). Post-Brexit there may be higher delivery charges for Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. In these cases we will contact you after you place your order if there is an additional charge; you can choose to cancel your order instead and your payment will be refunded in full. These delivery charges do not apply for most other INTERNATIONAL ORDERS; international customers may place an order on-line and will be notified of any extra delivery charges required; you can choose to cancel your order instead and your payment will be refunded in full. Note that tax and customs charges which may be levied on the customer in the destination country are the customer's responsibility. The delivery charge which is displayed as you progress through the payment pages is for orders which meet the standard conditions described here. If your order does not qualify for the standard charge we will notify you after we receive your order. Warranties Warranties will be according to the standard warranty of the manufacturer and in accordance with the rights of the consumer under UK law. Within the warranty period faulty goods should be returned to us and we will arrange for repair or replacement.
Dispose of old electrical items responsibly; you can recycle them for free. Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK's fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If electrical items are not recycled they will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination, harming wildlife and also human health. The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by offering all customers buying new electrical equipment free take-back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis if they are delivered to us. Unwanted items should be returned within 28 days of purchasing your new product. Please do not throw electrical equipment (including those items marked with the symbol below) into your bin.
